Application
With the help of Printex Lack NX printing paste you can produce bright coloured prints on coloured textiles. The touch of the print is considerably softer than in case of the regular titanium-dioxide based opaque printing pastes, and you need much less pigments for the colouring.
With Printex Lack NX the printing technology without intermediate drying (wet-on-wet) can be used with better results, although the perfect quality can be achieved in most cases only with the help of intermediate drying. The coloured opaque printing pastes made of Printex Lack NX are more abundant, than the titanium-dioxide based ones, because the amount of the ink printed on the fabric is in proportion to the volume and not to the density. The density of Printex Lack NX is 1 kg/dm 3 , and of the titanium-dioxide based ones is between 1,2-1,5 kg/dm 3 .
Usage
- 80-100 % Printex Lack NX
- 0-10 % Pigment or
- 0-20% Fluo Pigment
The quality of the pigments used for the colouring highly infuences the fastness values of the print (wash-, rubbing-, and light-fastness).
The screen printing ink can be diluted with water, and can be thickened with Printex V or Printex VA. Reducing the inks viscosity, we recommend adding Catalyzer D instead of water. Very small amount can lower the viscosity significantly, and catalyses the crosslinking at thermosetting.
- In case of printing textiles which contains a lot of synthetic yarns and in case of high pigment content, we recommend adding 1- 3 % FixirerFF phthalate- and formaldehyd-free crosslinker. FixirerFF improves rub- and wash fastness, but provides harder handle.
- Adding 0.5 - 2% Katalizátor SV2, the prints can be cured at lower temperature and time. The pot life of ink mixed with Katalizátor SV is 3 days.
Recommended mesh
Polyester-Monofilament from 32 to 68
Curing of the print
In heated chamber:
- on 150°C 3 minutes
- on 130°C 5 minutes
With contact heat:
- on 160-180°C 15-20 seconds
Storage
To be stored closed, protected from freezing. Shelf life: 6 months. In case of longer storage, mix extensively.
Note
Please, make a test print before every series of prints. Make sure that the appropriate actuality values can be achieved with the actual base material and with Your technological conditions.
