Protected from heat radiation and freezing, in a closed pot
Application
By using Printex KB printing paste you can produce extra soft handle and bright colour prints on white or light-coloured textiles. It can be coloured with every common used textile pigments. It is recommended especially for printing on polyester flag materials.
The special feature of Printex KB printing paste is, that it absorbs deeply into the raw material, and it coloures the yarn more than the usual pigment pastes.
Guide receipt
- 80 - 100% Printex KB
- 0 - 5% pigment
- 0 - 20% fluo-pigment
The quality of the pigment used for colouring has a big influence on the fastness values (wash-, rubbing- and light-fastness).
The printing paste can be diluted with water and can be thickened with Printex V or Printex VA.
To reduce the viscosity of the paste we recommend to use instead of water rather Katalyzer D, which thinnes the paste considerably also in a small quantity.
- For flag printers we do not recommend either Katalyzer SV or Fixirer-2. For the double-sided printing of the usual polyester flags we recommend to use the printing paste without additives and curing is always needed.
- In case you have to print on a textile, which contains a lot of synthetic yarns, or in case of high pigment amount, we recommend to use 1- 8% Fixirer-2 reactive synthetic resin. Fixirer-2 impoves the rubbing- and the wash-fastness, but it is disadvantageous to the handle of the textile. The pot life of the printing paste mixed with Fixirer-2 is 3 days.
- Printers for flags and parasols should always get information of the light fasteness of the pigment!
Recommended mesh
Polyester-Monofil from 34 to 68
Recommeneded emulsion:
- Fotecoat 1010
- Fotecoat 1915
Curing
In a heating chambe :
- 150°C-on 3 minutes
- 130°C-on 5 minutes
with contact heat:on 160-180°C for 15-20 seconds
Storage
In a closed pot, protected from freezing. Pot life: 6 month. After stored for a long time it has to stirred up well.
Note
Please, always make a test print before starting production runs. Make sure that expected fastness properties can be achieved with the actual base materials within your technological conditions!
