Cold crosslinker for the PRINTEX water-based printing pastes
Application
CATALYZER SV2 should be mixed to PRINTEX screen printing inks directly before printing, upon the following formula:
PRINTEX screen printing inks 99-95 %
Catalyzer SV2 1-6 %
The amount of the catalyzer added can be different depending on if you just want to reduce the curing temperature or if you want to avoid the curing completely. If you want to be sure, that you can avoid the curing, use the following test:
Cure one side of the printed fabric after comlete drying: iron it on 180°C for 10 seconds, but don't cure the other side (only one side of the pattern should be cured!).
Not cured surface -> Cured surface
After that, wash the fabric on 60°C. If you cannot observe any differences, you mixed the screen printing ink and the catalyzer in the right proportion. If the quality of the two sides of the print - of the cured and of the only catalyzed surfaces - are differenet (different rubbing fastness values), you have to add more catalyzer, and you have to make the test with the new blend as well, as long as the quality of the two sides are the same. If you don't want to add more catalyzer, you have to change the curing temperature.
The pot life of the screen printing inks mixed with CATALYZER SV2 is 1-3 days, depending on the climatic circumstances. The screen printing inks mixed with catalyzer, which are too thick and can not be printed are not possible to improve.
Note
Please, make a test print before every series of prints. Make sure that the appropriate actuality values can be achieved with the actual base material and with Your technological conditions.
