Water base covering white print paste
Chemical structure: Aqueous dispersion of t itanium dioxide, anionic synthetic resins and synthetic thickeners
Appearance: thick, white paste
pH: 7.5 - 9
Viscosity: 25.000-30.000 mPas measured with Haake's rotational viscometer
Storage
It can be stored for 6 months in a closed pot on a temperature between +5 and +20°C.
P rotect from heat radiation and freezing.
Application
With the help of Printex FA bright coloured prints with high opacity can be made on coloured textile. It can be coloured with every common used textile pigments.
Guide receipt:
Printex FA can be diluted with water and can be thickened with Printex V, Printex VA. If lower viscosity is required, we suggest to use Catalyser D instead of reducing water. Also a small amount of Catalyser D thinnes the ink well, and it has a good effect to the crosslinking of the print.
Thermosetting of the print
In a heated chamber: on 150°C 3 minutes
with contact heat: on 180°C 20 seconds
Recommended mesh
Polyester-Monofilament from 34 to 68 T or S
Storage
To be stored closed, protected from freezing. Shelf life: 6 months. In case of longer storage, mix extensively.
Reccommendation
Due to their high solid material content the covering print pastes dry fast. It is useful to spray some water on the print side of the printing block before making the first print. With this the quick drying can be avoided. In case the longer breaks between two prints are unavoidable due to the applied technology, the printing block must be covered with a thick layer of print paste (the printing block must be 'leathered').
In case of printing more colours one after another, it must be taken into account that the print paste printed thick for the sake of the good covering capacity will be 'picked up" by the next sieve. The perfect quality can only be achieved by interstage drying.
In case of textile with glossy surface, bad moisture capacity or containing mainly synthetic fibres the covering print pastes cannot provide the appropriate rubbing and washing fastness in all cases. Poor actuality values may occur mainly in case of drapery containing polyamide and viscose.
Note
Please, make a test print before every series of prints. Make sure that the appropriate actuality values can be achieved with the actual base material and with Your technological conditions.
